So I officially suck at blogging. Sorry.
Life's pretty good, minus the lack of hours at work. I'm searching for a second part time job. Oh, the thrills of the real world.
I got the approval for a wrist tat from my mom. Now, yes...I am 19. But my mother can make life difficult, so I make it a point to get her okay on things like that so I don't have to hear her complain. I'm pretty set on an idea, but I'm keeping it secret :)
Missouri was great...I'm going back next Wednesday. The drive BLOWS though!

Crazy!
I've been crazy busy, and honestly...I'm not sure where the time goes! Well, for starters (this has to do with my other blog), I talked to my mamma and she's on board with me and my doula training stuff. Obviously as an adult I don't need her permission, but it's nice to have her support.
Work is going well. I actually like my job quite a bit, which helps when it means working at 8 am...since I am NOT a morning person. Today was rough though, lots of obnoxious as hell customers. I sold 22 chocolate bars though, so that means I made an additional $2.20! Woohoo, big bucks. Then Mik and I went to the mall to get her some jeans since my dad made the mistake of getting some of hers shortened. The lady must have been smoking crack, because my poor little sister now owns like 4 pairs of high waters.
Tomorrow is a busy-ish day. Taking Lilo to the vet for her pre-op physical and blood work, then visiting my grandma. Then work 4-10:30. Wednesday, I work 8-4:15 and then it's off to the mall to find something for the Mardi gras party! Thursday-Saturday, should I not get the chance to update, I am down visiting my girls to live it up!

Snip Snip!
I'm getting my hair cut off on Tuesday! I cannot wait. I've been growing it for a year, and I really hate it. It's just unmanageable and hard to deal with and in bad condition. I'm not sure what to do with color, but we'll see.
Speaking of girly stuff, I also need new makeup. I am paler than my foundation, so I need to pick up some lighter stuff. I pampered myself tonight...soaked in a hot bath, then did a mani/pedi with new nail polish. I'm sure it'll chip tomorrow night at work, but oh well. I'll just have to keep up with it! I also need new eyeliner, I'm almost out!
My family comes home in about 15 hours, and the house is a mess! Gotta go to bed, then clean. Oh, and the tattoo is set for this summer. I am certain I want it :)

Working my life away...
YUCK! I work the following...
Monday 8-4:15
Tuesday 4-9
Wednesday 8-4:15
Thursday OFF
Friday 4-9
Saturday 4-11
Sunday 4-11
I can already feel how tired I am going to be in the morning.
I need to kick this caffeine habit. Though I know it's never going to happen.
It's miserably cold. All I want is to move somewhere warm.

Roadtrip!
I'm going with Jaymee to St. Cloud tomorrow! I can't wait, it'll be great to get out of this town...I'm going stir-crazy! So I read "Captive" by Brenda Joyce, which was AMAZING! She leaves it hanging, and says in a note afterward that she's working on a sequel. This was 1996, so I assume she's written it. Nope. She switched publishing companies and never wrote the sequel. SO DUMB!
So the jeans I ordered like a month ago apparently were not lost. They were just charged to my card two days ago, so I'm assuming they're now on their way. I also ordered two pairs of pants for work. My life is just so thrilling, lol.
I'm definitely cutting my hair and now all I want is to get it done! Unfortunately I have no money at all. Maybe my mom will treat me? I'm not going to hold my breath though...
I'm out for the night!

Dead and gone?
I hear a lot how I've changed so much. Most of the people in my life are happy about that. I have a plan for the future. My depression and anxiety is so much better. I have a job. I care about human rights deeply, whereas a year ago all I cared about was worrying about who was going to bring the booze to that night's party. I have not been drunk since September. I've been reading like crazy, a mixture of deep books, purely non-fiction books, and of course my cheesy romance novels. Some habits you just cannot shake :)
I have so much I'm going to do. I'm going with my mom out to Arizona sometime in the near future. I'm cutting my hair shorter. I'm joining a gym. Dressing less teen-ish. Listening to fun music. I want to take girls trips this summer...Madison maybe, possibly Chicago. Jenna and I are going clubbing soon, a first for both of us. So, if the old me is "dead and gone" to quote T.I. and Justin Timberlake, I think it's only good.
P.S. Don't go see the movie "The Reader" unless you want to become morbidly depressed.

Unnatural
It was forty below today. People were not meant to live in this weather. The inside of my nose freezes just walking outside.
All in all, it was a great day despite the cold. Mikki and I had a great dinner of ravioli stuffed with asiago cheese, basil and pinenut pesto, baked in homemade tomato sauce. The side was fresh green beans. All organic of course!
Sometimes I wonder what intolerant, racist, homophobic people tell themselves to justify it. It's something that bothers me, because it's prevalent in some parts of my family. Oh well, I'll just have to bust out the Obama shirt and talk about how I'm going gluten free and I consume things like kombucha and kefir. Oh, and cheese made of rice so that it's lactose and soy free. Also, it's way better than normal cheese.
Peace out homies. I'm taking a scalding hot bubble bath and finishing Ina May's book.

Sick :(
Yuck yuck yuck I'm sick with some head cold crap. With this minus zero weather, not a surprise. I slept most of today, and I could already go back to bed. I wanted to order Mama Mia on indemand, however they don't have it yet. GRRRR.
So, almost TWO weeks ago, I ordered pants from Alloy. Really cute trouser style jeans. I have come to the conclusion that they are never coming. Of course genius me was too lazy to set up an account, so I can't track my order. I will say though that ordering stuff online is my favorite thing. It's like Christmas. Since coming home a week and three days ago from Missouri, I've had two books and a movie come. It just makes your day.
So, I'm thinking that working in Puerto Vallarta with Kristina this summer might be fun. If for whatever reason I can't do it this summer, I'll FOR SURE do it the next summer. Hello warm weather, clubbing, great shopping and great food. These are the types of things I want to do while I'm still young.

What is this place and how do I escape?
Today's high was -6 degrees. What is wrong with this picture? Why on earth do I live here? I'm a beach girl! I'm made for warm weather. Up until I moved here, anything below 75 degrees required pants, anything below 72 resulted in the immediate need for a sweatshirt. Yet here I am, misplaced in Minnesota. Not that moving down south would be any better. I'm far too liberal for those southern men!
Anyhow, sometimes I wonder how this is my life. I don't want to be stuck here, working at Walgreens. I want to pack my bags and head off somewhere for an exciting adventure. Somewhere warm, preferably. Oh well, such is life. I'll definitely be outta here at the first opportunity! I feel like a gypsy. I don't feel at home anywhere.
I saw Unfaithful for the first time. It was fabulous. I also saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Which was breath taking. Best movie I've seen in a very long time.
This is where I leave you for today. Aloha.
